During this classic and popular workshop students must design and produce a vehicle that will enable an egg to safely travel as far as possible after being launched from our powerful air launchers.  Will they opt for expensive wheels or more economical skis to increase the range of their egg?  How will they ensure it doesn’t break?  What materials can they afford for their design?

Students must employ a range of skills including team work, communication, presentation and numeracy.  Team members are provided with specific roles and must deliver their part of the project.  The challenge introduces students to engineering in a fun and engaging way.

STEMworks will provide all materials for the workshop.  A large venue is required to run this workshop, such as a gymnasium or hall.
