KNEX Challenge Final : Winners announced

This year's KNEX final was hosted by Renishaw and held in the very impressive innovation centre at their site in Wotton-Under-Edge. Almost 200 students attended the final on May 21st from schools in Gloucestershire and South Glos. Students were full of trepidation and excitement as they waited to hear what their final challenge would be. They were asked to model a robotic arm that could be used by surgeons performing an operation. Winning pupils were from Westonbirt Prep and Andoversford Primary schools.The judges congratulated all the finalist who were there representing their schools. The competition was run in over in 100 schools with 2767 pupils. STEMworks hope to encourage young people to start thinking about a career in STEM. The competition was generously supported by Renishaw a leading engineering company in Gloucestershire.
